As 2020 came to a close, the virtual pet category on iOS experienced an array of performance trends in Australia. Sensor Tower provided the data for this analysis, and more detailed insights can be found on their platform.

My Cat – Virtual Pet Games saw a decrease in downloads from about 2.2K in late September to approximately 1.4K by the end of December. Revenue also saw a downward trend, starting at around $4.5K and dipping to nearly $3.9K. Weekly active users mirrored this decline, dropping from 4.1K to about 2.8K over the same period.

MinoMonsters, Inc.'s Cat Game - The Cats Collector! experienced fluctuating revenue, peaking at roughly $2.2K in late October and ending the quarter with around $1.7K. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering between 345 and 485, with a slight increase to 438 at the quarter's end. Active users showed a gradual decrease from 1.3K to 715.

For Pet Doctor Care games for kids, revenue varied, with a notable peak of $675 in mid-December, contrasting with lower figures in other weeks. Downloads saw an upward trend in December, reaching over 1K from a starting point of around 900. Weekly active users increased from 1.5K to 1.7K throughout the quarter.

Downloads surged to about 3.1K in the same period, with weekly active users generally declining but then increasing to 12.5K in the penultimate week of December.
